InfoPathways, Inc.
Thom Bethune and Douglas Heck founded InfoPathways in 2004 to provide technology solutions tailored for the Construction industry. The original business plan involved offering a software solution developed by Thom and Doug to help construction companies better manage their project information. InfoPathways expanded and began performing everything from executive level consulting (outsourced CIO services) to cable installation across a variety of compliance-driven industries all while maintaining a focus on not the technology itself, but the people using it.
In 2015 InfoPathways purchased a wireless internet service provider (WISP). After growing the WISP from 168 paid subscribers to approximately 1300 paid subscribers in 2021, InfoPathways sold the business to focus on their growing portfolio of enterprise clients.
As InfoPathways grew, the company expanded its vertical market focus beyond construction and professional firms and established a practice focusing on high compliance clients in industries such as life sciences, manufacturing, engineering, and federal government contracting.
As the life sciences sector expanded rapidly during the COVID-19 pandemic, so did the number of cyberthreats aimed at life science firms. Cybersecurity awareness training, data management, and other cybersecurity precautions became more important to the success and security of InfoPathways clients than ever, prompting the IP team to expand upon their arsenal of cybersecurity tools.
Today InfoPathways provides both cybersecurity and IT solutions for clients in the life sciences sector as well as other complex, highly regulated industries. Our holistic approach to technology management gives InfoPathways a unique viewpoint as to what role cybersecurity plays in organizations’ technology environments. In October of 2023, InfoPathways opened a 2nd office in Winston-Salem, NC. The IP team and client base continues to expand as the company reaches its 20-year anniversary.

Network Design, Installation and Maintenance We are experienced with building networks for facilities with unique compliance needs, security requirements, and environmental challenges (i.e. cleanrooms, multi-building campuses.). Our team previously designed, managed and operated a hybrid fiber/wireless network spanning over 1000 miles, with 3000+ endpoints.
