About Our Speaker: 

Greg represents companies and individuals in their pursuit of protection for their intellectual property. As a Mechanical Engineer and former U.S. Patent Examiner, he has a unique insight into the inventive process and the steps that must be taken to secure protection for one's inventive concepts. Greg works closely with inventors in varied technical fields to develop not only a proper technical description of their innovation, but also to together define the "invention", i.e., to put himself in the shoes of the inventor to share their understanding of the full breadth and scope of their innovation. Greg also represents clients in enforcing their patents and other intellectual property rights against would-be infringers, in defending them against claims from others that their new technologies infringe someone else's intellectual property, and in structuring licensing and technology development agreements to assist those clients in taking full economic advantage of their intellectual property. 

Specialties: Preparation, filing, and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications and patent infringement/validity analysis in varied technical fields including mechanics, electronics, biomedical devices, communications, computer hardware and software, materials sciences, chemistry, business models, manufacturing equipment and processes, etc.; representation of plaintiff and defendant clients in patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret infringement matters; former U.S. Patent Examiner.
